A set of fifteen hand-coloured engravings by ES Weddell of conifer cones from Pinetum Woburnense or a catalogue of coniferous plants in the collection of the Duke of Bedford, at Worburn Abbey published and printed by James Moyes in 1839. 

Francis Russell, 7th Duke of Bedford, KG, PC (13 May 1788 – 14 May 1861) issued this catalogue of pines, 'systematically arranged' by his gardener, James Forbes with a view to encouraging fellow horticulturalists and land-owners to cultivate 'this truly valuable family of trees'. 

Abies Balsamea, Abies Alba, Cunninghamia Sinensis, Cuprefsus Horizontalis, Dammara Australis, Larix Microcarpa, Dammara Orientalis, Abies Webbiana, Araucaria Excelsa, Taxodium distichum, Abies Amabilis, Abies Pichta, Abies Menziesu, Araucaria Imbricata

They are presented in decorative linen mounts and muted gold frames with non-reflective glass.  The price is for the set but they are available individually for £250 each.
